San Francisco Bay Shore Inventory

- Description:
- The San Francisco Bay Shore Inventory: Mapping for Sea Level Rise dataset provides a comprehensive and consistent picture of today’s Bay shore (up to MHHW + 10ft) for all nine Bay Area counties. The mapping captures features which affect flooding and flood routing (e.g., engineered levees, berms, embankments, roads, wetlands, etc.) including accredited and non-accredited structures. This project also identifies features fronted by wetlands and beaches and features that are artificially hardened (e.g., riprap). The dataset was recommended and shaped by local, state, and federal agencies to help inform regional planners of flood vulnerabilities, constraints for adaptation strategies, and where natural features can be maintained or expanded to provide coastal flood protection.
