Ridgway’s Rail Bird Surveys
- Source:
- Point Blue Conservation Science
- Description:
- This dataset represents a mix of sites conducted by different entities at different points in time since 2005. The polygons were developed by different entities (mostly ISP, Point Blue, USFWS, CDFW) for different purposes, and therefore, did not follow the same protocol for defining a marsh site. In the future, the site layer will be finalized as part of the multi-partner secretive marsh bird database in the Avian Knowledge Network (AKN; https://data.pointblue.org/cadc2/). That effort will involve editing the polygons for consistency, developing better metadata, and storing the data in the AKN. For more information on what the polygons represent, refer to the Site-Specific Protocol for Monitoring Marsh Birds - SF Bay (https://ecos.fws.gov/ServCat/DownloadFile/110223).
